Green Fashion

Green fashion does not have to look green. It can come in many colors and fabrics, such as organic cotton instead of commercial cotton, which consumes 25 percent of all pesticides used in the world. Or using readily available substitutes for the toxic glues, tanning agents and plastics used in shoes.

Recycling used clothes, opting for sustainable materials and eliminating waste are all strategies in the green fashion world and taught in the fashion design program at UC Davis.
