Wider campus initiatives
Across the UC Davis campus community, sustainability efforts go far beyond recycling. The dining commons employ a composting program, students use Aggie Ware reusable dishes, and transportation and parking services offers an alternative transportation program known as goClub (“go” standing for Green Opportunties.) The program offers rewards for green commuting such as discounted bus and train passes, shower and locker facilties for walkers and bicyclists, and options to get people home in an emergency. GoClub also partners with Zipcar, a car sharing service, and Zimride, an online service that connects people for ride sharing.
